🥘 Slow Cooker January Stuffing
🥣 Ingredients (Serves 8 | 6-quart slow cooker)
1 (6 oz) box dry stuffing mix (herb or cornbread)
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom for a vegetarian version)
1½ cups chicken or vegetable broth
½ cup diced onion (optional, for extra flavor)
Optional add-ins:
1 cup cooked sausage or ground beef
½ cup frozen peas or diced celery
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Combine ingredients in slow cooker
Add the dry stuffing mix and onion (if using) to the slow cooker. Pour in the soup and broth over the top. Gently press down so the liquid begins to absorb—avoid stirring.
2. Cook until tender
Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until the liquid is absorbed and the stuffing is soft and fluffy.
3. Finish and serve
If using cheese, sprinkle it on during the last 15 minutes of cooking. Lightly fluff with a fork before serving.
❄️ Why it’s perfect for January potlucks
It stays warm easily in the slow cooker, serves a crowd, and pairs well with almost anything—making it ideal for relaxed, post-holiday gatherings.
