1. The Rubber Mallet Trick (Easiest Fix)
Sometimes the boards simply separate from their locking joints.
What you can try:
Put on rubber-soled shoes.
Stand on the board that moved.
Kick or slide your foot firmly toward the joint to push the plank back into place.
OR
Use a rubber mallet and tapping block to gently tap the plank back together.
Many homeowners fix gaps this way in minutes.
2. The Suction Cup Method
This works well if the plank won’t move by kicking.
