You could use chicken, turkey or sausage. There is never a right or wrong when it comes to the meat you choose for your family.
Why is there Catalina Dressing?
The Catalina blends well in the salad, a little sweet and a little tang could only increase the flavor combinations in this salad.
How can I make this dish healthier?
My first suggestion is to swap out the full fat Sour Cream for Low fat. A second suggestion is to use mixed greens, a combination of Spinach, Kale, iceberg, Romaine. There are usually options already packaged at the supermarket.
Why is there no cheese in the recipe?
The Doritos contain a cheese powder on the outside, I did not add additional cheese, because I did not want the recipe overpowered by cheese. Feel free to add a Mexican blend if you want.

1 pound Ground Beef, lean
2 tbsp Taco Seasoning

How to make Dorito Taco Salad:
Step 1. Heat a skillet over medium high heat, add in the Olive Oil and ground beef
Step 2. Crumble the beef and cook until the meat is no longer pink

Step 3. Add the Taco Seasoning and ⅛ cup water, stir and simmer for 5 minutes
Step 4. Drain any grease from the meat and set to the side
Step 5. Chop the lettuce, dice the tomato and place both in a bowl

Step 6. Top with the Taco meat and the Doritos
