Ingredients For Easy Air Fryer Steakhouse Potatoes
Potatoes: If you’re trying to make a traditional baked potato, Russet potatoes are the best choice. Pick ones that are roughly the same size, to ensure they’re cooked evenly.
Oil: Choose avocado oil, coconut oil or refined olive oil. These have a high smoke point and are perfect to use for air frying. I’ve also put together a detailed post about the best oils to use for air frying.
Salt: Use kosher salt or sea salt. Toppings: Here’s where you can get creative. Pick from the classics like garlic powder, bacon, cheese, sour cream and chopped chives or think outside the box and experiment with paprika and green onions.
Variations & Substitutions
Use salted butter instead of oil to lend these potatoes a rich, buttery flavor. Remember to also use a bit of oil along with it, since butter can get absorbed pretty quickly, and the skin won’t crisp up as much, if you use only butter.
Top the potatoes with some leftover air fried chili or some Chipotle-style corn salsa to add more flavor and deliciousness.
You can also top the potatoes with some leftover Crockpot shredded chicken or shredded buffalo chicken to make the dish heartier.
To make these steakhouse baked potatoes cheesy, top them with some gruyere or sharp cheddar cheese, a sprinkle of Italian seasoning and some chopped chives or your favorite herbs.
Make spicy baked potatoes by topping these with some cayenne, paprika or red pepper flakes or a drizzle of your favorite hot sauce.
